In both Japan and South Korea, the game was a cultural sensation. The myth of the 100-yen coin going out of existence due to the game’s popularity travelled to South Korea where the game instantiated the first game boom. By adopting the concept of the screen in media studies, this talk examines the game as a screen object that performed four functions across the two regions: filter (sieve), division, camouflage, and shelter. I will examine these four screen functions of the game against the historical context of the two regions where leisure culture and an emphasis on science and technology were rapidly developing throughout the 1960s to 1970s.

来る2024年12月27日(金曜日)、立命館大学ゲーム研究センターによる2024年度第13回定例研究会を実施致します。発表者は、今祐仁氏です。登録・参加料不要となっております。お誘い合わせの上、奮って 続きを読む…

[2,3

post-3055","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-event","category-seminar
["GET
