This presentation will shed light on the ongoing development of translation norms in the field of video game translation, focusing in particular on the translation of Japanese video games into English. The presentation will describe particular translation norms that have emerged in the field, before presenting a case study of the translation of the video game series ‘Ryu Ga Gotoku’ in order to illustrate how Japanese video game companies have begun to successfully integrate fan-translation norms into commercial products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
